Directions
The Mays Landing Campus is situated on U.S. Route 322 (Black Horse Pike), midway
between the Pike’s intersection with U.S. Routes 40 and 50. It is 2.2
miles west of the Hamilton Mall.
From the east take U.S. Route 322 west. Or take the Atlantic City Expressway (toll road) to exit 12. Turn left at exit. Turn right onto Route 322 west. ACCC is 2.2 miles on the left. Take U-turn.
From the north take the Garden State Parkway (toll road) to exit 12. Turn left at exit. Turn right onto Route 322 west. ACCC is 2.2 miles on the left. Take U-turn.
From Philadelphia and west take U.S. Routes 42 and 322 east. Or take the Atlantic City Expressway (toll road) to exit 12. Turn right at exit. Turn right onto Route 322 west. ACCC is 2.2 miles on the left. Take U-turn.
Bus Service
New Jersey Transit buses between Atlantic City and ACCC run hourly, 8a.m. to
9:45p.m. For information, call the NJ Transit’s Telephone Information
Center at 1-800-582-5946. A complete schedule is available in the Student Activities
Office, J Building.
Student Life Center
The Student Life Center, located on the first floor of J building, is available
for use by all ACCC students. The Student Government Association, student newspaper,
and Student Activities Office are located there. The center also contains a
TV and viewing area, video games, pool and Ping-Pong tables, and ample seating.

Bookstore
The bookstore is an independently operated facility located on the first floor
of J building. The store sells textbooks for all ACCC courses, stationery, sportswear,
school and art supplies, greeting cards, snacks and padlocks for student lockers.
Cash, VISA, MasterCard, American Express and DISCOVER are accepted. Checks with
proper identification are accepted for the exact amount of purchase. Financial
aid book checks may also be used with proper ID, and keep in mind that 50% of
the check must be used before cash change can be given.
The store hours are posted. Additional hours will be scheduled during the first
two weeks of the fall and spring semesters. The bookstore also sells books at
the Cape May County Extension Center and the Charles D. Worthington Atlantic
City Center. Dates and times can be obtained by calling the bookstore at
(609) 625-5205. The bookstore will buy back books at any time except the first
week of the semester.
Text Direct Service is available to all students. Books can be shipped to your home by calling the bookstore, (609) 625-5205, FAX 625-7250, or e-mail: www.acc.bkstr.com with your course information, credit card number and a street address for UPS delivery. For same day shipping, you must call before 11a.m. and delivery time is usually 2-3 days. Freight charges are added to your order.
Parking
Parking is available for students at all ACCC locations. Students must provide
proof of registration at ACCC when applying for a parking decal, and must pay
an annual parking fee. A current parking sticker must be displayed on the vehicle’s
rear window, driver’s side. Parking permits will not be issued to persons
charged with delinquent fines unless payment for all charges accompanies the
permit application.
All vehicles must park in designated lots, unless otherwise directed by Security personnel. Students may park vehicles in white-lined spaces only. No parking is permitted on grass areas, road shoulders, or tow away zones. Parking in handicapped zones is strictly forbidden without a handicapped-parking permit. Stickers and a copy of the motor vehicle regulations brochure can be obtained from the Security Office located in U Building.
Cafeteria
The cafeteria is located in Walter E. Edge Hall and is open weekdays at 7:30
a.m. Closing times vary and are posted. Breakfast, lunch and snacks are served
daily. In addition, hot food is available through vending machines located in
the cafeteria. Snacks and drinks are also available in the lounges in A and
H buildings and in the lobbies of D and E buildings.
Childcare Facilities
Barbarito and Beyers Preschools, Inc. operates a preschool on the Mays Landing
campus. It is licensed to enroll children 1 to 6 years of age and is open to
the community, ACCC students and staff. And it features age-separated groups,
certified staff and state-of-the-art developmentally appropriate curriculum.
A summer camp program is available in conjunction with Barbarito and Beyers
Preschools with four other locations. For information, call the center at

Housing
The ACCC housing program assists culinary and hospitality students in obtaining
quality living arrangements. This program is available only to students from
outside of Atlantic and Cape May counties and who are registering in designated
programs. The office assists in arranging housing that is attractive, affordable,
and close to employment opportunities and public transportation. For information,

Student ID Cards
Students are issued a photo identification card with proof of current registration.
This card must be carried at all times and is required to obtain materials from
the library, use the computer labs, sell books back to the bookstore, participate
in sports, use the recreation equipment in the life center, and gain admission
to college-sponsored events. Students eligible for financial aid need ID cards
to receive book checks from the business office. Photograph-ID cards are issued
in the Student Life Center, J building, first floor, and must be updated at
the beginning of each semester (enrollment proof needed). Evening students may
contact the Student Life Center, (609) 343-5010, for night schedules. Atlantic
City and Cape May students may obtain ID’s at those centers according
to posted hours. A $5 fee is charged to replace lost cards.
Automated Teller Machine (ATM)
An ATM machine is available in front of the Mays Landing campus bookstore
Career and Academic Planning Center
The Career and Academic Planning Center is located in J Building and is designed
to provide career information, workshops and guidance for students who are in
need of career services. Students can receive information on career assessments
and counseling.
The center offers NJCIDS, a computer-based career planning programs, which can help students to learn more about themselves and assist in career direction. The center houses college catalogs, applications and related transfer data, and information on career and occupational outlooks.
Job Placement
Placement services are available to students and alumni. The service answers
questions about job applications, resumes’ and interviews, and supplies
information on locating and applying for employment. The Placement Office, located
in the Career and Academic Planning Center, first floor of J building, maintains
a library of career literature, with descriptions and qualifications of careers,
employer literature, information on government examinations, and application
forms.
Tutoring Services
Tutoring is offered free of charge to students for any of ACCC’s classes
dependent upon tutor availability.
In-person tutoring includes content courses (chemistry, accounting, psychology, history, etc.) and is available to students on an appointment basis. To be eligible for tutoring services, students must be enrolled and attending classes regularly in the content course for which the request is made.
William Spangler Library
The resources and facilities of the library are available to the college community
and residents of Atlantic and Cape May counties. Currently housed in the library
are more that 78,000 books, 1000 phonograph records, audiocassettes, CD’s
and art reproductions, as well as subscriptions to more than 300 periodicals.
Videos are maintained in the library. Telecourse tapes may be borrowed and viewed
either on campus or at home.
Learning Assistance Centers
LAC Computer Lab (D114) Mays Landing
Tutors are available in the computer lab for students registered in developmental
courses that have a lab component. Tutoring is a support service and not a substitute
for classroom instruction. Open lab hours are available to students who have
a current ACCC ID. Sudents should carry their ID with them at all times. Lab
aids are available to provide students with technical support.
LAC Skills Labs - Tutoring - Mays Landing
Tutorial assistance is available in the LAC math and writing skills (D111) lab.
To receive math tutoring, students must be currently enrolled in a developmental
math or Math119 course. Any student who is currently enrolled in any course
that requires written assignments is eligible to receive assistance in the writing
lab. Based on availability of tutors, students may use the skills labs on a
walk-in basis. Tutoring is a support service and not a substitute for classroom
instruction. In addition, the writing lab has a paperback book exchange. Students
are encouraged to utilize this free exchange of reading material.
Cooperative Education
Cooperative Education is an academic program that allows students to receive
college credits for working in jobs related to their major. Students who are
employed or who are placed by the Cooperative Education Office can receive cooperative
education credits. These credits are supervised by faculty members and are available
to all ACCC students.

Clubs and Organizations
ACCC sponsors a number of special interest clubs and organizations on campus
open to all students regardless of race, creed or color. Each is chartered by
the Student Senate of the SGA, and has its financial obligations met from the
student activities fee.
Groups wishing to be officially recognized by the college must meet the requirements established by the SGA. Religious or political groups have the right to organize and be recognized by the SGA. Students registering for a section during activity period cannot attend club meetings.

Intercollegiate Sports
ACCC is a member of the Garden State Athletic Conference which determines a
state champion and selects All-Conference teams in each sport. In addition,
ACCC is one of more than 500 members of the National Junior College Athletic
Association, (NJCAA). The NJCAA sponsors national championship events and selects

The Buccaneers is the official college team name for all ACCC sports. ACCC competes in intercollegiate men’s basketball, archery, and women’s softball.
ACCC Foundation
Established in 1978, members of the Foundation are drawn from local industry
and small businesses and represent a broad cross-section of active leaders in
the community. The Foundation has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for
the college to use as scholarship funds or to enhance academic programs and
the campus environment.
