Directions
From Williamstown: Take Route 168 North (Black Horse Pike) to Turnersville. Enter the jughandle on the right for Greentree Road (just after Arby’s). Continue on Greentree Road to the first traffic light and turn right onto Egg Harbor Road. Continue to light intersection (Five Points Diner on the right). Go straight through the light. A half block after the intersection make a left, following the sign for Sewell, onto Blackwood-Barnsboro Road. The College entrance will be on your right.

From Clayton: Take Route 47 (Delsea Drive) through Glassboro and Pitman. Continue through Hurffville and make a left onto Salina Road. At the next intersection, make a right onto Blackwood-Barnsboro Road and continue straight, making a left onto GCC grounds.

From Central and Northern New Jersey: Take NJ Turnpike south to Interchange 4. Exit there onto Route 73 and follow signs ¼ mile to Route 295 South. Remain on Route 295 for 10 miles, until it merges with Route 42 in Bellmawr. Move left onto Rt.42 lanes, then follow Route 55 Directions to GCC Campus.

From Route 55 (from Bellmawr): Take Route 42 to Route 55 South for four miles to Exit 56-B (Route 47 North – Woodbury – Westville). Turn left at the first traffic light onto Bankbridge Road, then left at the first traffic light onto Tanyard Road. The third entrance on the left (just past Monongahela Junior School and Gloucester Vocational) is GCC.

From South Philadelphia: Cross the Walt Whitman Bridge. Follow signs to Atlantic City and 295 South. Take Route 55 and follow directions above to the College.

From Route 55 (from South): Take Route 55 North toward Bellmawr-Camden. Take Exit 56A (Route 47 South). Go about one-half mile and make a right at the GCC sign just before the traffic light. Go right again at GCC-Sewell sign. Proceed one mile, then take the first right beyond the overpass into GCC.

From the Delaware Memorial Bridge: Take Route 295 North. Exit onto County Road 534 (Delaware Street) and continue through Woodbury. Turn right at the second traffic light onto Evergreen Avenue. Travel one block and turn left onto Egg Harbor Road and continue to the College.

Public Transportation
Main Campus – regular hourly service to GCC’s main campus Tanyard Road, Deptford, NJ – Route 463 with continuous service during all of GCC’s scheduled class time.

Bookstore
Barnes and Noble operates a College Store in the Library addition. In addition to new and used textbooks, the store offers a wide variety of items such as stationery, clothing, greeting cards, candy and newspapers. The College Store is open during the fall and spring semesters Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Fridays from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The store also has summer hours to accommodate students on campus for summer sessions. Hours are subject to change and are extended at the beginning of each semester for student convenience.

Textbook Refund Policy: A full refund will be given during the 1st week of class, with a receipt. After the first week, a full refund will be given up to 30 days after start of classes, with a receipt if within 2 days of purchase or with proof of schedule change. All other textbook refunds within the first 30 days will be honored at 75% of the purchase price, with a receipt. Textbooks must be in original condition. Refunds for summer and special course sessions will be accepted for one week only after the start of class. All merchandise other than textbooks, may be refunded anytime with a valid receipt. Without a receipt, a merchandise credit will be issued at the current selling price. Cash back on merchandise credits will not exceed $10.00. Refunds will be given in original form of payment. Exceptions: Custom course materials, outlines, study guides, magazines and prepaid phone cards. Software must be unopened for exchange or refund. Open software may be exchanged for the identical item only.

Parking
All cars, trucks and motorcycles must be registered with the Office of Security. A parking decal is issued free of charge to each student and must be displayed on each vehicle.

Childcare Center
Parent-student, faculty, staff and alumni can take advantage of the pre-school education and childcare program on the GCC campus. The center is licensed by the State of New Jersey and staffed by certified teachers. In addition, registered school-age children can attend the program when public schools are closed.
The Early Childhood Education Center also offers fun and enriching activities for families throughout the year, plus summer camps. These programs are open to community children. To schedule a visit or receive more information call 856-415-2235.

The College is committed to providing open access to cutting edge technology through well-equipped computer facilities and diverse offerings of research databases and computer applications. GCC has a high speed Internet connection and computers are linked in a local area network. Each lab is geared to accommodate varying needs of students, such as:

Identification Cards
Each new GCC student is issued a free identification card which is to be carried at all times. The card serves as a student activities card for admission to college-sponsored events, and as a college library card. It is non-transferable, and its use by anyone other than the owner is prohibited.

Information Center – Security
Information can be obtained from the Security Office in the College Center. The Security Office provides information and gives directions. Other areas for current information are bulletin boards, center hallway, monitors, and College publications.

An Automated Teller Machine (ATM) is available in the College Center next to the Security Office.

Job Placement
GCC maintains a Student Employment Services Office for current students, former students and alumni. Services include referral for full-time and part-time positions and job placement. The Office works in conjunction with counseling on job readiness skills, career counseling, counseling seminars and testing.

Library/Media Center
Many exciting changes are occurring in the library, including upgraded Internet workstations, new Internet databases, full-text journal databases that can be accessed on campus, at home or any other remote location, an improved bibliographic instruction program with an information literacy component, and much more. Traditional offerings will continue to be supported with a book collection of over 55,600 volumes, 381 journal subscriptions, 13,407 software items, and over 150,000 pieces of microforms. Most importantly, a friendly and helpful staff will assist you in your quest for basic information and higher-level research. Whether you are on campus or off, our information services are available to you via the Internet. Some of these new services are:
· E-Ref (a.k.a. Just Ask a Librarian): Basic reference questions can be e-mailed to the Reference Librarian who will answer your inquiry within two working days.
· Internet access of information: Our online catalog of materials is available through the Internet.
· Online full text periodicals: EBSCOhost offers access to more than 2,100 periodicals and VALE offers access to ABI/INFORM Business which contains 1,400 sources and Periodical Abstracts with 1,800 academic journals. These databases are available, through password authentication, to all our students, faculty and staff whether they are on campus, at home, work or other remote location.
· Bookmarked websites: Sites are selected by the Reference staff and are hyperlinked from the library webpage. These are available to anyone who accesses our webpage.
· Specialized databases: GALE Contemporary Literature Criticism, PhillyOnline and other databases are available on a limited basis, while Biographies Plus is available through VALE.

The Learning Resource Center
The Learning Resource Center is located directly above the College Store and is equipped with 60 networked PC’s with internet access. Also offered is computer assisted and/or supplemental instruction for many academic disciplines.

Office of Student Development
This office offers year-round comprehensive advisement through the counseling and advising staff along with workshops that relate to career and educational selection. GCC believes that quality academic advisement is the primary integrating factor binding students, faculty, staff and academic disciplines in a meaningful educational experience.

Community Outreach
Art Exhibits
Gloucester County College sponsors a series of monthly art exhibits throughout the school year featuring prominent local, national and international artists. The exhibits usually open with a reception where the public can meet the artists. Persons interested in attending may be included on the mailing list by contacting the Liberal Arts Division at 856-468-5000, ext. 6443.

Community Chorus
County residents who have an interest in music and want to participate in an organized group are encouraged to join the College’s 80-member chorus. The group performs concerts throughout the year and rehearses during weekly workshops. All music is supplied by the College. For more information call the Liberal Arts Division at 856-415-2139.

Allegro Society
Some of the best-known musical artists in the nation perform at Gloucester County College under the sponsorship of the GCC Allegro Society. The Society, consisting of on-campus and community lovers of classical music, presents as many as six concerts each year, under the direction of Artistic Director Anthony Mecoli.

The world-class musicians performing at the concerts are from the Philadelphia Orchestra and the Pennsylvania Ballet Company Orchestra.

Community support is welcome, through sponsorships, memberships, and ticket purchases. Information on membership and upcoming programs can be obtained by calling the Liberal Arts Division at 856-415-2139.

Drama
The drama group offers aspiring actors and set designers the opportunity to express their talents though drama, comedy and musical productions. Each year, GCC has expanded its offerings, ranging from one-woman shows to full-cast musicals. In the process, it has offered the public some outstanding entertainment, and the students an opportunity to display their talents. For more information call 856-415-2139.

Concerts
The College sponsors many concerts open to students and the public. Community orchestra concerts and choral and gospel singing are popular events at GCC.

GCC Foundation
The GCC Foundation consists of 24 leaders in the county’s business, professional, educational, and civic communities. Over the past 30 years, they have raised millions of dollars for scholarships and major campus improvements. The Foundation serves as a link between the College and community. Health Center
The Student Health Nurse is available to students 8 a.m. – 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, in the Instructional Center. Before registering for classes, students must submit to the nurse the medical questionnaire found in the acceptance packet. Full-time students must submit proof of the MMR #2 vaccination. The nurse provides individual health counseling as well as a series of health clinics and first aid.
