Getting Started - part 2
"Ok, I'm ready to begin my work. Now where do I start?"

Submitting Assignments:

Depending on the specific assignments for the week, you may use a different method for submitting them to your instructor and, in some cases, your classmates.

  • Posting to the Discussion Board - access the Discussion Board by either clicking on the Discussion Board button, or by clicking on the Communication button and then selecting the option for the Discussion Board.
  • Sending e-mail - click on the Communication button and then choose the "Send E-mail" option. Webcampus remembers all the email addresses for the students and instructors in your class!
  • Submitting a Paper -
      1. click on the Tools button and then select the option for the Digital Drop Box.
      2. Select the "Send File" button.
      3. Enter a Title for your assignment. It is probably good practice to name using a naming scheme. For instance, instead of calling it "assignment 1" (think about how many assingment 1s your instructor might get!), name it something like "myname_assignment1_topic". This will make it easier for your instructor to locate your paper in the future.
  • Group Assignments - your instructor may have you working in a group with other members of the class. If this is the case, click on the Groups button to access the tools that you will use as a group.

Checking Your Grade:

Your instructor may choose to use the online gradebook for your course. If you want to check your grade at any point during the semester, click on the Tools button and select the "Check Grade" option.
