WPPSI III® OA 13 Discrepancy?
In the example above, the crude drawing of an animal has 7 parts. When these parts are assembled correctly they result in 6 possible correct junctures. Note that each piece is given 1 correct juncture whenever it touches another piece. this example is consistent with all other Wechsler Object Assembly items except WPPSI III® Object Assembly item 13.
In the second example above, note how the tail has been dropped so that it touches both the body and the hind leg. This results in a total of 7 correct junctures. This example mimics that of OA 13, and demonstrates how it (item 13) would more appropriately have a total score of 7 rather than the total score of 6 that it is assigned.
