The Current Resident Housing Process was developed to give current residents the first opportunity to request a room as well as the people they would like to live with. Contingent upon following all prescribed guidelines, residents are divided into two tiers. Tier One residents are assigned first, followed by Tier Two residents based on their Housing Priority Index Score. Returning Students who wish to participate in the Current Resident Housing Process must pay their Fall 2010 Housing Deposit and file their Housing and Meal Plan Applications with the Office of Enrollment Services March 1 - 5, 2010. Students who paid a deposit by the deadline may pick up a housing packet from the Office of Campus Life starting on Tuesday, March 23, 2010. Your packet will include a Resident Assignment Preference (RAP) Card, Information Label and a booklet explaining the entire process. The housing process booklet is also available here. Deadline to return RAP Cards to the Office of Campus Life is Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at 5pm. Tier One Residents MUST return their RAP cards by this deadline to remain in Tier One, even if you have no particular preference for residence halls or roommates. Failure to meet this deadline will result in you being reclassified as a Tier Two resident. Please see the Housing Process Booklet for more detailed information. REMEMBER the housing process has three steps. Each must be completed by the deadline. FIRST... Complete a housing and meal plan application and submit your housing deposit to the Office of Enrollment Services the week of March 1-5. COMPLETED SECOND... Students who paid their housing deposit may pick up a housing process packet from the Office of Campus Life. Packets will be available on Tuesday, March 23. You must return a RAP card even if you have no specific request with regard to roommates or building preference. LAST...
