FDU SMART Communications and Sprint Campus Connect________________________

In the Fall 2007 semester Fairleigh Dickinson partnered with Rave Wireless and Sprint to provide a new service called FDU Mobile. This innovative program has grown from its initial offers into two new services offered for Fall 2009.

FDU Mobile is now FDU SMART Communications and Sprint Campus Connect!

Fairleigh Dickinson continues to be a leader in mobile technology, and offers a series of safety and mobile  academic applications through Rave Wireless and available on any carriers cell phones.

The University has also partnered with Sprint Inc., who has built a custom network on campus. In addition to Sprint's coverage and capacity advantages, the University will be subsidizing $20 per month on  Sprint rate plans for any resident student who takes advantage of the new special phone program being offered by Sprint through the University. That program  offers any student  an additional 10% discount on all Sprint rate plans with the exception of the Simply Everything Plan. The $20 subsidy will be applied to your Fairleigh1card. Of course,  all students, regardless of carrier, can enjoy the benefits of all the FDU SMART mobile features.

To learn more about Sprint and the Fairleigh Dickinson discounts, please visit the Sprint store located in the Lower Level of the Library or call 973-443-8015.

To learn more about FDU SMART Communications and how it can help you during your time at Fairleigh Dickinson, you can write to fdumobilesupport@fdu.edu or call 201-692-7124.

Regardless of whether you opt to participate in FDU SMART Communications, buy your handset from Spring Campus Connect or plan on just using your own cell phone, all resident students are REQUIRED to provide the University with a local contact (cell) phone number for use to conduct day-to-day business as well as during emergency situations.
