FDU Baseball Falls to Northeastern, 20-2
Joe Munda goes 2-for-4 for Knights.
 

Bradenton, Fla. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University baseball team fell to Northeastern by a score of 20-2 this afternoon. The Knights’ record dropped to 1-9 on the year, while the Huskies improved to 3-2.
            The Huskies jumped on the scoreboard early, posting nine runs in the top of the first.  Northeastern took advantage of five hits, three walks and an error to build the lead.
            Fairleigh Dickinson got one back in the bottom of the inning on an RBI single by Jesse Thomas.  Each team scored a run in the second inning and Northeastern put the game away with three in the fourth, two in the fifth, two in the sixth and three more in the eighth.
            Third baseman Joe Munda highlighted the Knights’ day by going 2-for-4 with a triple and a run batted in. Ben Beck paced the Huskies’ offense with a 5-for-6 day, including five runs batted in.
            After a day off on Wednesday, the Knights will close out their trip to Bradenton against Vermont on Thursday.
