Ferris Finishes 9th in Sabre at Penn State's Garret Open
Courtney Brennan helps lead epee team to top 25 finishes

PA -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's fencing team had a
good showing at the Garret Open with junior Cathleen Ferris (St. Louis,
MO) just missing the finals in the sabre division with a ninth place
finish in the 37-person field. Also
in the sabre division, Sabina Orsi (Long
Valley, NJ) posted a 26th place finish.
Sophomore Courtney Brennan (Centereach, NY) led the epee team with a 16th place finish while sophomore Jillian Peabody (Somerville, NJ) came in 18th. Freshman Kathleen Kolakowski (Huntington, NY) just missed the top 20 with a 21st place finish.
On the foil team, freshman Victoria Helmer (Morristown, NJ) posted a 31st place finish and senior Sue Ou (Bronx, NY) finished 36th.
