Sabina Orsi Finishes Third in Sabre at NIWFA Christmas Invite
Courtney Brennan leads epee team with fourth place finish

HACKENSACK, NJ -- Fairleigh Dickinson University's Rothman Center hosted the annual NIWFA Christmas Invitational with spectacular results.

Senior Sabina Orsi (Long Valley, NJ) was recorded her best finish ever at the meet with a third place finish in the sabre division, which saw 43 athletes competing.

Freshman Victoria Helmer (Morristown, NJ) led the way for the foil squad, finishing in ninth place out of 57 fencers.  Junior Cathleen Ferris (St. Louis, MO) usually fences sabre but placed 27th in the foil division and senior Sue Ou (Bronx, NY) finished 28th in just her second year of fencing.

The Knights' three epee fencers posted two top ten finishes and one top 15 finish with sophomore Courtney Brennan (Centereach, NY) placing fourth, freshman Kathleen Kolakowski (Huntington, NY) coming in seventh and sophomore Jillian Peabody (Somerville, NJ) placing 12th.

Fairleigh Dickinson in next in action on January 12th and 13th at the Northwestern Invitational in Evanston, Illinois.
