FDU Men's Golf in 11th Place After Day One of NEC Championships

Hollidaysburg, Pa. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University men’s golf team stands in 11th place after day one of the 2002 NEC Championships held at Scotch Valley Country Club.  The Knights completed the day at 337.  Host St. Francis (Pa.) leads the field at 306, two strokes ahead of Central Connecticut State.
          Mark Dunne is the Knights' leader, firing a first round 80.  After a 43 on the front nine, Dunne came in at 37 and is tied for 22nd place overall. Mike Leondi is two strokes behind him at 82.  Other Knights competing are Doug Foley (87), Rob Warren (88) and Brett Burrows (102).
          The Knights will return to action on Tuesday for day two of the NEC Championships.
