George Glasgow

One the of Knights' most successful coaches on the soccer pitch, GEORGE GLASGOW '53 is the sixth inductee into the athletics Hall of Fame. The Head Men's Soccer Coach from 1956 through 1969 and then again from 1974 to 1976, Glasgow was the Knights' second-ever soccer coach, taking over the program just three years after graduating from FDU. He holds the highest career winning percentage of 0.699 in over 17 seasons of coaching. Glasgow took the Knights' to eight post-season tournaments ‹ an NAIA Tournament appearance in 1958 and seven NCAA Tournament appearances. As an undergraduate, Glasgow was a member of the men's basketball team where he became FDU's first 1,000-point scorer, totalling 1,081 points which ranks 16th on the all-time points list today.
