Elia Stratis
The next honoree is the late ELIA STRATIS '67. Stratis served as an FDU Board of Trustee member, President of the Alumni Association, Pinnacle Award recipient and was an avid supporter of FDU athletics before his untimely death in the 1989 Pan American Airlines crash. While a student, Stratis was a member of the soccer and track teams, and was also an active participant in the intramurals programs. The mezzanine suite in the Rothman Center bears his name in a memorial to Stratis and the constant support he offered to the athletics programs at FDU. The Stratis Suite was dedicated November 29, 1989 at the men's basketball home-opener against Boston University.
