2000 Hall of Fame Inductee
Erich Rudolf

The next two inductees come from FDU's wrestling program. ERICH RUDOLPH '59 was one of the original members of the first-ever FDU wrestling team as a freshman. He posted a 14-1 record as a freshman and added a first-place finish at the Poly Invitational Tournament and a second-place finish at the U.S. Military Academy Freshman Invitational Tournament. Rudolph was the team captain for the next three years, losing just three times in his four-year regular-season career. He posted undefeated regular seasons as a junior and senior and was named the athletics department's Outstanding Male Athlete both years. He finished his career with a 49-7 (0.875) record, winning 27 of his final 28 matches. As a senior, he won the individual title at the first-ever Metropolitan Intercollegiate Wrestling Championships.
