JIM CARR---Assistant Coach---In his first season on the Fairleigh Dickinson bench, Jim Carr brings a wide range of experience from Rutgers University. With eleven years of coaching and recruiting experience at the high school and collegiate level, Carr is a key addition to the Knights bench.

During his tenure with the Scarlet Knights, Carr was involved with the recruitment of three top-25 recruiting classes. In 1999 he was part of the Converse Collegiate team that traveled and played in the Ukraine. Carr coached former Syracuse forward and NBA rookie Etan Thomas and various others from the Atlantic 10, Atlantic Coast and Southeastern Conferences.

For three seasons Carr was the Director of Basketball Operations for Kevin Bannon's Scarlet Knights. He assisted in recruiting, student-athlete academic enhancement, film exchange, alumni and booster relations and was the coordinator of the Kevin Bannon Rutgers Basketball Camp.

Prior to his stint at Rutgers, the 1991 York College graduate was the Associate Director/Recruiting Coordinator for The Hoop Group, the nation's largest basketball camp organization. While with The Hoop Group, he served as the overall recruiting coordinator for all camps and clinics including the nationally ranked Eastern Invitational.

A native of Shawnee, Pa., Carr began his coaching career as the athletic director/head basketball coach at the York (Pa.) Country Day school. At the time of his hiring in 1989, Carr was the youngest AD/Head Coach in the country. Carr has served as an assistant at Kings (Pa.) College, Stroudsburg High School and as the Assistant Director for the Invitational Basketball Camps in Stroudsburg, Pa.
