JIM HILL--Assistant Coach--In his third stint as a member of Tom Green's bench force is Jim Hill. Hill has worked as an assistant as FDU first during the 1981-82 seasons, then again from 1984 through 1987 and he returned to the Teaneck school last fall.

In his first stint with the Knights, Hill was a member of Head Coach Don Feeley's ECAC Metro regular-season champions. Hill was again on the bench when the Knights made their first-ever appearance in the 1985 NCAA Menšs Basketball Tournament.

The 1970 graduate of Upsala College with a degree in Business Administration, Hill was a four-year starter for the Vikings. After graduating and turning his attention to coaching, Hill's first collegiate job was with his alma mater in 1977 and he helped Upsala to the 1979-80 NCAA Division III Final Four. After leaving FDU in 1982, Hill returned to Upsala and again was a member of a Final Four team during the 1983-84 season.

In 1987, Hill left FDU again to try his hand as the Lyndhurst High School Boys Basketball Coach. He coach Lyndhurst for two seasons, leading them to the New Jersey State Tournament Sectional Semifinals.

In 1988 Hill accepted a position at Rutgers-Newark as an assistant coach. He worked for two seasons as an assistant before being promoted in 1990 to Head Menšs Basketball Coach. He coach at Rutgers-Newark from 1990 until 1998, leading his squad to the 1995-96 ECAC Tournament championship. His team also earned the New York/New Jersey team sportsmen of the year award in 1995-96 and 1996-97.

Hill resides in Livingston, N.J. with his wife, Ellen, and their son, Colton.
