BROOKLYN HEIGHTS, N.Y.  --  Senior center James Felton netted 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds in his first action of the season, but St. Francis College pulled out a 75-66 victory over visiting Fairleigh Dickinson University in men's basketball action at the Pope Physical Education Center.  Jason Morgan scored 19 points, pulled down eight rebounds, and collected four steals to lead the Terriers, who improved to 6-3 overall and 3-0 in the Northeast Conference (NEC).  The Knights fell to 0-12 overall and 0-3 in NEC action.

Fairleigh Dickinson, which led 37-30 at halftime, extended the lead to 45-34 on a layup by Lionel Bomayako with 17:37 remaining.  St. Francis, however, closed the game with a 41-21 surge.  The Terriers, in the midst of a 10-0 run, took a 56-55 lead on a three-point play by senior Karl Sanders at the 11:21 mark.  They built the lead to seven at 65-58 with 7:28 to go.  The Knights made one last rally with their own 8-3 spurt and cut the margin to 68-66 on a Matt Hammond layup with 4:30 remaining, but the Terriers sealed the contest by forcing four turnovers in the final three minutes.

After St. Francis opened the game with a 17-8 lead, following Morgan's three-point goal with 12:39 remaining in the half, the Knights closed the period with a 29-13 run.  Felton, who connected on 7-of-12 from the field and 5-of-7 at the free throw line in 36 minutes, keyed the run with 10 points.

Sanders added 16 points for St. Francis, while junior Chris Sockwell tallied 13 points.  Bomayako returned from injury to give the Knights nine points on 4-of-7 from the field in 19 minutes of action.

Fairleigh Dickinson returns to action on Sunday, January 6th at Long Island University.  Tip-off time is 2:00 p.m.  That game will be broadcast live on WFDU 89.1 FM radio.
