Fairleigh Dickinson Men's Basketball Falls to Kansas State, 88-45
Hammond scores 15 for Knights.

MANHATTAN, KANSAS – The Fairleigh Dickinson men's basketball team fell by a score of 88-45, at the hands of host Kansas State today.  The Knights dropped to 0-11 on the year, while the Wildcats improved to 6-5.
     Fairleigh Dickinson held an 11-9 lead with 13:27 to go in the first frame.  The Wildcats then went on a 22-3 run over the next 7:22 to build a 31-14 advantage.  The Knights cut the margin to 33-20 on a Richard Chavez (Wichita, Kansas) three-pointer, before Kansas State built a 41-22 lead at the break.
     The Wildcats scored the first nine points of the second frame to pull ahead 50-22, and went on to outscore the Knights 47-23 to close it out.
     Matt Hammond (Burlington, N.J.) paced the Knights with 15 points, 11 in the second half, to go along with six rebounds. Ryshaun Sunkins gave Fairleigh Dickinson a solid effort off the bench as he chipped in eight points and three boards in 15 minutes.
     Five Wildcats scored in double-digits, led by Pervis Pasco's 19 points and 10 rebounds.
     The Knights return to action on Friday, January 4th at St. Francis (NY) in their first of 16 straight NEC games.  That contest is slated for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
