Men's Soccer Falls to Nationally Ranked Washington, 3-2 STORRS, CONNECTICUT -- The Fairleigh Dickinson University men's soccer team fell by a score of 3-2 in overtime to the 12th ranked University of Washington Huskies at the UConn Soccer Classic. Aaron Paye (Brooklyn Center, Minn.) started the scoring when he picked up a from Danny Lozano (Bogota, Colombia) at the top of the box and sent it past the goalie at 40:11. Washington came back four minutes later at 44:32 with a goal of their own and the Knights responded with their second another four minutes later when Johnny David (Hillside, NJ) got a touch pass from Danny Lozano (Bogota, Colombia) and put it into the top left corner of the goal. The Huskies scored at 52:08 and the game remained tied at 2-2 until Washington scored one minute and 39 seconds into the overtime period to take the win. "I'm proud of the way we played. We had a great effort and put ourselves into a position to beat one of the top teams in the country," says head coach Seth Roland. Eric Montoya (Paterson, NJ) made 12 saves for the Knights who fall to 0-1-0. The Washington Huskies open the season 1-0-0. The Knights next opponent at the UConn Soccer Classic is the University of Akron. They face the Zips on Saturday, September 1st at 5:00pm. They return to Teaneck for their home opener on Wednesday, September 5th when they host Drexel for a 4:00pm game. * * * KNIGHTS * * * SCORING:
