Orce Kozeski Lifts Fairleigh Dickinson Men’s Soccer
Past Monmouth, 2-1 with OT Penalty Kick

West Long Branch, N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson’s Orce Kozeski (Garfield, N.J) scored twice, including a penalty kick three minutes into the first overtime to lift the Knights to a 2-1 decision over Monmouth University in men’s soccer action this afternoon.  The win evens Fairleigh Dickinson’s record at 5-5, 2-2 in the NEC, while the Hawks fall to 3-6, 1-2 in the NEC.

Monmouth opened the scoring in the 32nd minute as Anthony Viscariello headed in a Joe Sellitto (Raritan, N.J./Raritan) pass off of a free kick.  The Hawks carried the 1-0 lead through halftime.

Kozeski tied the score for the Knights in the 65th minute, as he headed in a cross from Joe DiBuono (Montreal, Canada).

A trip in the penalty box set up the penalty shot in overtime, which Kozeski fired past Mike Erskine to secure the win.  Erskine faced 24 shots on the afternoon, making four saves.  Fairleigh Dickinson’s Vytautas Lenkutis (Vilnius, Lithuania) faced eight Monmouth shots, making one save.
