Fairleigh Dickinson Men's Tennis Falls to Hofstra, 5-1
Freshman George Green Wins Ninth Straight Match.

Hempstead, N.Y. - The Fairleigh Dickinson University men's tennis team fell by a score of 5-1, at the hands of host Hofstra this afternoon.  The Knights’ record dropped to 3-2 on the year.

Hofstra got a shutout from their number two doubles team and an 8-3 win at first doubles to take the point.  The singles winner for the Knights was freshman George Green (Leeds, England) who knocked off Sergey Mikeladze at number two, 6-3, 2-6, (12-10).  Green improved to 12-2 on the year in singles play with his ninth straight win.

The Knights return to action on October 16, when they travel to take on the Iona College Gaels.
