Men's Tennis Edged by Manhattan, 4-3
Sarria, Bogdanov and Green take singles matches for Knights.

Riverdale, N.Y. - The Fairleigh Dickinson University men's tennis team was edged, 4-3, by host Manhattan this afternoon.  It was the Knights’ first dual-match of the year.

The Knights took three singles matches, getting wins from sophomore Alex Sarria (Cali, Colombia), senior Boris Bogdanov (Fair Lawn, N.J.) and freshman George Green (Old Bridge, N.J.)  Sarria captured a victory at first singles, defeating Tony Chavez-Geller, 6-4, 6-2.  Bogdanov took second singles with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph over Nick Gravagna.  Green, this week’s NEC Men’s Tennis Athlete of the Week, improved to 8-2 on the year with a 7-5, 1-6, (10-6) win over Paul Wawrzynink at fourth singles.

The Knights return to action on October 4, when they travel to take on NEC opponent St. Francis – NY.
