Dickinson Men’s Tennis Takes Rider 5-2 Teaneck, N.J. – The Fairleigh Dickinson University men’s tennis team defeated visiting Rider this afternoon by a score of 5-2, at Van Saun Park. The Knights improved to 3-1 on the year with their third straight dual-match victory. The Knights opened up the match by taking the doubles point. Freshman George Green (Leeds, England) and senior Boris Bogdanov (Fair Lawn, N.J.) won at first doubles, 6-0, 6-3. Sophomore Alex Sarria (Cali, Colombia) then paired up with senior David Wagreich (Old Bridge, N.J.) to win at second doubles, 6-2, 6-4. In singles play Sarria took his match at first singles, 6-1, 6-4, and Bogdanov won at number two singles, 6-0, 6-3. Green improved his impressive singles mark to 11-2 with a 6-0, 6-4 win at third singles and Wagreich took fourth singles, 6-0, 7-6 (7-5). The Knights return to the courts on October 11, when they play at Hofstra with a 2:30 p.m. start.
