FDU Men’s Tennis picked to finish sixth in NEC Pre-season Poll
Women’s tennis tabbed for tenth

Teaneck, N.J. –  The Fairleigh Dickinson University men’s tennis team has been picked to finish sixth in the Northeast Conference (NEC), according to a poll of league head coaches, while the women’s team was tabbed for 10^th place.  Defending champion UMBC is the pre-season favorite to win both the men’s and women’s crowns.

Both the Fairleigh Dickinson men’s and women’s tennis teams finished tied for fifth place at last year’s NEC Championships.  This year’s NEC tennis championships will take place at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J. on April 25-27.

Third-year head coach Ken Graham returns four letterwinners on the men’s side.  The Knights have already put together a solid 8-4 record in dual-match play this year, including a 5-0 mark against teams in the NEC.  Dean Hoskin, also in his third year as the Knights’ women’s tennis coach, returns four letterwinners as well from last year’s team.  The Knights are 2-4 on the year, all against NEC opponents, and have posted wins over Robert Morris (picked to finish 7^th) and Mount St. Mary’s (picked to finish 9^th).

The women’s tennis team returns to action on March 18^th against Southeast Missouri State in Hilton Head, S.C. The men’s team will take to the courts again on March 24^th at Monmouth.
