Boris Bogdanov Named NEC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week
Senior remains undefeated this spring.

Teaneck, N.J. - Fairleigh Dickinson's Boris Bogdanov (Fair Lawn, N.J.) has been named Northeast Conference (NEC) Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week. The senior's return to the Fairleigh Dickinson squad this season has made a significant difference as the Knights have won four straight matches to improve to 11-4 in 2001-02.
          Last week, Bogdanov went 3-0 in singles and 2-0 in doubles as Fairleigh Dickinson defeated NEC rivals Quinnipiac (5-2) and Central Connecticut State (5-1), as well as Iona (6-1) in a non-conference affair.  After winning at #2 singles against Quinnipiac, he moved up to #1 in straight set wins against Iona and CCSU.  He also paired up with Angel Rubio at #2 doubles for two more victories.  A former "E" flight NEC singles champion in 1998 prior to the tournament moving to a team-flighted format, Bogdanov is a perfect 7-0 in singles play this spring, 16-5 on the year and 16-2 since dropping his first three matches of the fall.
          Bogdanov and the Knights will put their streaks on the line again on Thursday, April 18th at Princeton.
