George Green Makes Mark for Men’s Tennis at Northeast Intercollegiate Championships.
Green and Bogdanov advance to flight B doubles semi-finals.

Providence, R.I. - The Fairleigh Dickinson University men’s tennis team took part in the Northeast Intercollegiate Championships hosted by Brown University this weekend. Freshman George Green (Leeds, England) continued to open eyes as he won the consolation draw of the flight C singles.

Green also paired up with senior Boris Bogdanov (Fair Lawn, N.J.) in the flight B doubles. The duo advanced to the semi-finals before falling to the eventual champions from Brown.

Also participating for the Knights was sophomore Alex Sarria (Cali, Colombia) and senior David Wagreich (Old Bridge, N.J.) Sarria won in the preliminary round, 6-2, 6-4 over Pat Hofer of Marist before falling in first round action of the flight A singles. Wagreich also advanced to the first round of the flight C singles, knocking off Jeff Bowers of Sacred Heart.

The Knights will return to the courts on October 2nd, when they travel to take on Manhattan.
