Fairleigh Dickinson Places Eight on Winter NEC Honor Roll
Women's basketball leads way with four players named

SOMERSET, N.J. – The Northeast Conference announced its Winter Academic Honor Roll, consisting of 262 student-athletes from the 12 conference institutions and six associate members. All honorees must have completed at least one year in residence at an NEC institution and have a 3.20 or better grade point average (as calculated after the most recent semester). Fairleigh Dickinson placed eight student-athletes from its five eligible sports: men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s indoor track and field and women’s fencing.

Fairleigh Dickinson’s women’s basketball team led the way with four student-athletes placed on the list. Zain Conteh (Bronx, NY) was a third-time honoree while Kyle Schmitz (Herndon, VA) was a second-time honoree. Meaghan Allan (Millersville, MD) and Jennifer Kozlowski (Linwood, PA) earned the recognition in their first eligible year to round out the hardcourt awardees. From the men’s track and field team was three-time honoree Aidan Walsh (Dublin, Ireland) as was Seeyian Metoyu (Illasit, Kenya) from the women’s track and field team while fellow runner Fredyla Urena (Fairview, NJ) was named to the honor roll for the second consecutive year. Jillian Peabody (Somerville, NJ) was the lone honoree from the women’s fencing squad.
