to Compete at ECACs; Walsh to Run at IC4A
Knights to travel to Reggie Lewis Track
and Athletic Center in Boston, Mass.
RIVERDALE, NY -- Freshman
Dana White (Camden, NJ/Camden) won the shot put at the Jasper
Invitational with an ECAC-qualifying
mark of 13.95 meters (45'-9.25") and placed fourth in the long jump
in 4.78 meters (15'-8"). Tia Wright (Camden, NJ/Pennsauken) just
missed qualifying for ECACs in the long jump with a winning distance of
5.50 meters (18'-0.5"). Calicia Burke (Grand Cayman, Cayman
Islands/Meadow Brook) placed second in the long jump with a mark of
5.36 meters (17'-7").
White
along with teammate Melanie Porterfield (Sicklerville, NJ/Highland
Regional)--who qualified for the 60 meter hurdles back in early
December--will compete at the ECAC Championships on Saturday, March 2nd at the
Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Hurdle
trials begin on Saturday at 4:10 p.m. and semi-finals are scheduled to
begin at 5:00 pm. Finals will be held on Sunday at 1:40 p.m. Shot Put
trials and finals are scheduled for 4:30 p.m on Sat.
Aidan
Walsh (Dublin, Ireland) will run the mile at IC4As with trials on Sat.
at 11:10 a.m. with finals being held on Sun. at 10:45 a.m. Walsh
qualified for the event with a first-place (4:09.74) finish at the NEC
Championships earlier this month
