Knights Compete at Sam Howell Memorial Invitational
Alfred Korir and Erick Too qualify for IC4As

PRINCETON, NJ -- The men's and women's track and field team competed at the Sam Howell Memorial Invitational, hosted by Princeton University.

Alfred Korir qualified for IC4As in the 3000 meter Steeplechase with a winning time of 9:08.14. Aidan Walsh just missed qualifying with a fifth-place time of 9:19.14. Erick Too became the third qualifier on the men's team this season with a second place finish in the 10,000m (30:23.64), 38 seconds from an NCAA provisional qualifying time. William Murphy, who qualified earlier this season in the 110m hurdles, finished third in the event at Sam Howell in 15.38 seconds and fourth in the 100m dash in 11.33 seconds.

On the women's side Melanie Porterfield improved her 400m hurdle time for the third straight meet, winning the event in 1:03.11.  Dana White came in second in the shot put (44'-3.5") while Tia Wright was second in the long jump 5.47 meters.

The teams return to action next Saturday at the Columbia Open in New York City.
