Dickinson Drops Three Games to UMBC
Trisha Nunnenkamp tallies 13 kills and 10 digs
HACKENSACK,
NJ – The
Fairleigh Dickinson University women’s volleyball team (7-8, 1-3
NEC) dropped a three game decision to the UMBC Retrievers (10-10,
3-0 NEC): 26-30, 28-30, 23-30.
The
Knights quickly took command of game one with five straight points
and stretched their lead, but UMBC slowly chipped.
Down by three, 20-24, the Retrievers’ Jackie Carbo (Drexel
Hill, PA) served nine straight points with the help of hard-hitting
teammates to take the 29-24 lead and eventually game one.
The

with UMBC’s front row, who helped them to a .306 hitting
percentage on the evening compared with Fairleigh Dickinson’s
.233.
Knights
Trisha Nunnenkamp (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) and Allison Picker
(San Rafael, CA/Marin Academy) both tallied double digit kills.
