Dickinson Downs St. Francis (NY) in Four Games

Tallies Career High 31 Digs; Becker leads with 12 kills

–The Fairleigh Dickinson University volleyball team defeated the
visiting St. Francis (NY) Terriers in four games in a Northeast
Conference match-up.
The
Knights jumped out to an early lead in game one from which the
Terriers could not come back. In
game two, St. Francis (NY) cleaned up their unforced errors, testing
the Fairleigh Dickinson defense.
The teams battled point for point in games three and four
with the Knights slowly taking the lead and eventual critical
conference match.
Trisha
Nunnenkamp (Merrick, NY)
was outstanding on defense, collecting a career-high 31 digs
in the four games, adding eight kills.
Sharon Becker (Dumont, NJ) tallied a double-double
with a team-high 12 kills with 16 digs and setter Randi Kluemper
(Allentown, PA) has six kills, 13 digs and 41 assists.
Brittany
Daniel (Amarillo, TX) posted a game-high 20 kills for the Terriers,
adding 18 digs. Sylwia
Parzych (Brooklyn, NY) had 10 kills, seven digs and five blocks.
Fairleigh
Dickinson returns to the court tomorrow to host Long Island for the
Knights’ last home match of 2001. Game time is 1:00pm.
