Dickinson Defeats St. Francis (PA) in Four Games
Head
Coach Stacey Recanati becomes program's all-time career wins leader
HACKENSACK,
NJ – The
Fairleigh Dickinson University women’s volleyball team (7-7, 1-2
NEC) defeated St. Francis (PA) (1-21, 1-3 NEC) for their first NEC
victory of the season: 18-30, 33-31, 30-23, 30-22. The victory is
also the 126th career win for Knights' head coach Stacey Recanati
who becomes the volleyball program's all-time career wins leader.
Despite
dropping the first game to the Red Flash, the Knights rebounded to
win the next three games. Sharon Becker (Dumont, NJ/Paramus
Catholic) tallied a game-high 15 kills and had a team-high 18
digs while Trisha Nunnenkamp (Merrick, NY/Calhoun) had 12
kills and 12 digs while Nicole Farrell (Warwick, NY/Warwick)
had a career high 12 digs for the Knights.
The
Knights return to the court when they host NEC opponents UMBC on
Friday, October 19th at 7:30pm and Sacred Heart on Saturday the 20th
at 1pm.
