Dickinson Names Kevin Papa Assistant Volleyball Coach
TEANECK,
N.J. – Fairleigh Dickinson University head women’s
volleyball coach Stacey Recanati has announced that Kevin Papa has
been named as Assistant Coach for the Knights.
Papa replaces Stephanie Schmidt, who stepped down to pursue
other opportunities, as Recanati’s top assistant.
Papa
comes to Fairleigh Dickinson with four years of club volleyball
coaching experience under his belt.
He has served as a head coach of the Jersey Girls Volleyball
Club teams in New Milford since 1998 and has been an assistant boys
volleyball coach at Bergen County Technical School. Papa has also
served as tennis pro at Apple Ridge Country Club in Mahwah from
1992-95 and Garden State Tennis Club in Upper Saddle River from
1989-91.
After
beginning his undergraduate work at Penn State, the Mahwah, N.J.
native worked with Ken Rose Associates as an executive recruiter for
the fashion industry from 1997 until the fall of 2001.
Papa will be completing his degree at Fairleigh Dickinson
University and will receive his bachelors in business management.
