Knights Drop Season Opener in Three Close Games to St. Peter's
Allison Picker tallies 11 kills and three blocks

JERSEY CITY , NJ -- The Fairleigh Dickinson women's volleyball team fell in three close games (22-30, 23-30, 33-35) to St. Peter's in both teams' season openers.

Allison Picker (San Rafael, CA) led the Knights with 11 kills and three blocks. Sharon Becker (Dumont, NJ) led with 11 digs adding five kills, two service aces and two blociks in her first collegiate game. Setter Randi Kluemper (Allentown, PA) had 23 assists and seven digs.

The Knights were solid, bettering St. Peter's in service aces and blocks but could not withstand the Peahens' hard-hitting. Fairleigh Dickinson returns to action this weekend with the St. John's Classic. They face St. John's at 6pm on Friday, September 7th and Princeton at 8pm. On Saturday the 8th the Knights play Vermont at 12pm.
