KNIGHTS END LOSING STREAK

Fairleigh Dickinson missed their first three shots of the game but connected on their next eight attempts to take a 16-2 lead from which the St. Francis (NY) Terriers could not come back. The 70-55 NEC victory for the Knights ended a six-game losing skid dating back to mid-December.

The Knights were up by as many as 22 points (41-19) in the first half but were outscored in the second, 32-29, and found themselves with just a nine-point lead, 64-55, with 0:58 remaining in the game. Going a perfect 11-of-11 at the free throw line, FDU out-shot the Terriers from the field 49% to 42% and out-rebounded them 38-24. The Knights did however commit more turnovers, keeping St. Francis (NY) uncomfortably within striking distance.

Leading all scorers was Karen Tiedemann, who scored 18 first half point on route to tying her career-high with 24 points on the night (going 11-20 from the field). She added six boards, five assists and three steals in a complete 40 minutes. Also scoring a career-high--in just her second game back from injury--was Natallia Marchanka who recorded 13 points, including 3-of-5 three pointers.
