Pioneers Defeat Knights In Defensive Shootout, 49-42

Fairfield, Conn.--The Pioneers dominated the first half of play, scoring 35 points to the Knights' 17 and holding Fairleigh Dickinson to just .185 in field goal percentage.

In the second half, the tables were turned, as the Knoghts outscored the Pioneers 25-14 and held Sacred Heart to the same .185 that FDU had suffered in the first half. The teams were a combined 32-of-105 for .305 in the contest.

Senior Melanie Prol (Sparta, NJ/Sparta) had 16 points and nine reboundsto lead the Knights.Fairleigh Dickinson fell to 2-10 on the year, 1-2 in the Northeast Conference.
