KNIGHTS FALL TO LA SALLE

The Knights fell into a deficit early, as the Explorers of La Salle opened with two three-pointers. FDU trailed until 8:40 in the first when two consecutive jumpers by Karen Tiedemann put the Knights up by one, 18-17.

Shooting 29% in the first half, the Knights would only connect on three more baskets as La Salle closed the half on a 20-6 streak. The Explorers opened the second session on a 14-7 run and didnšt look back, connecting on a total 8-of-14 three-pointers and shooting 46% for the evening.

In 25 mintues of action, freshman Jennifer Kozlowski led FDU for the second consecutive game, scoring 14 points on 5-9 shooting, including 2-4 from downtown. Melanie Prol and Karen Tiedemann each recorded 13 points for the Knights. Tiedemann added a team-leading eight rebounds.

The Knights were kept to a season low 30.9% shooting on the night and were outrebounded 45-38. The team continued its success at the line, going 11-14 (78.6%) for the game. UMASS
