FDU FALLS TO ARMY

The Knights dropped a 65-71 decision in Christl Arena to the Black Knights from Army. The Black Knights shot 55% from the field in the first half and hit 10 of their first 12 shots as they moved to a 25-11 lead.

FDU cut Army¹s lead to five, but fell 37-27 at halftime. The Knights were trailing 68-55 with 1:18 remaining when they opened a 10-0 run to get within three, 65-68 with five seconds remaining, but could not get off a shot before time expired.

Melanie Prol and Karen Tiedemann led the Knights with 17 points apiece, Prol adding a career high 15 rebounds for her second double-double of the season. Nevin Caple had a career high 15 points in a career high 27 minutes. Natallia Marchanka also had a career high 28 minutes, scoring five points and adding two steals and one assist.
