FDU COMPLETES SWEEP OF TERRIERS
The Knights led from start to finish, scoring the first six points and opening to a 26-15 lead with 2:36 to play in the first half. St. Francis (NY) managed to cut the lead to 26-19 going into halftime, but the Knights opened the second session with a 17-8 run that gave them a 43-27 with 11:30 to play.
The Terriers made a run to pull within nine points, 58-49 with 1:36 to go before the Knights scored their last 11 points from the free throw line.The Knights finished with a 67-55 victory over the Terriers.
Karen Tiedemann led the Knights for the 12th time this season, and ninth time in the past 11 games. She scored 20 points, adding six rebounds and two steals in her 13th career game of a complete 40 minutes. Melanie Prol recorded her seventh double-double of the season with 13 points and a game-high 11 boards. Tommica Woods barely missed a double-double with 12 points and a career-high nine assists. She also hit 6-of-6 from the free throw line.
