HACKENSACK, NJ - In the first game of the first-ever Northeast Conference women's basketball doubleheader, the Fairleigh Dickinson (11-7, 6-3 NEC) Knights completed their season sweep of the Mt. The Mountaineers were first on board and had an eight-point lead, 24-16, with 4:22 to go in the first half before the Knights closed the session on a 10-3 run and getting within one point, 27-26.

In a strange twist of fate the Knights, who trailed the entire first half, opened scoring in the second half to take their first lead (28-27) and stayed on top for the remainder of the game. The Mountaineers scored eight straight points from 13:27 to 12:00 to get back within four, 43-39, but the Knights increased their lead once again to double-digits
