Fairleigh Dickinson Falls to Hartford, 66-49
Natallia Marchanka scores 14 in the knights’ third road loss

West Hartford, Conn. – The Fairleigh Dickinson (4-3) women’s basketball team dropped a 49-66 decision at Hartford (2-5).

Fairleigh Dickinson jumped out to a quick 13-5 lead thanks to points from five different Knights including a three-pointer each from Meaghan Allan (Millersville, MD) and Jennifer Kozlowski (Linwood, PA) and three points from Nevin Caple (Baltimore, MD). 

The Knights had their big lead of nine points (18-9) at the 11:11 mark in the first half.  Up 20-14 two minutes later the Knights missed seven consecutive field goal attempts over the next seven minutes to find themselves in a ten point deficit (31-21) before going into halftime, down 31-23. Hartford opened the second half with six straight points and the Knights would not get closer than 11 points before falling for the third time in their fourth road game.

Natallia Marchanka (Rechitsa, Belaurs) led the Knights for the sixth time in seven games with 14 points, five scored in the last 1:08 of the game. Caple finished with eight points while Kay Odenwaelder (Goshen, Conn.) had six points and a team-high six rebounds.
