Fairleigh Dickinson Falls in Overtime to St. Francis (PA), 2-1
Jillian D'Onofrio tallies second assist in third game

LORETTO, PA --The Fairleigh Dickinson University women's soccer team fell 2-1 to St. Francis (PA) in Northeast Conference action.

Fairleigh Dickinson took a 1-0 lead just eight minutes into the match when sophomore Kelly Geraghty (Elmont, NY/Sewanhaka) fired a 10-yard shot from the right side into the net off a pass from freshman Jillian D'Onofrio (East Northport, NY/St. Anthony's). The lead held until the 67th minute when the Red Flash netted the equalizer on a shot from senior Kristen Arnott.

The Red Flash's Beth Bradley scored off a corner kick in the first minute of overtime to hand Fairleigh Dickinson the 2-1 loss.

"We had four good chances in the last five minutes but just didn't finish," says head coach Peter Gaglioti. "We played extremely well against them but were unfortunate."

The Knights fall to 0-3 on the season and 0-1 in the NEC. St. Francis (PA) improves to 3-1, 1-0 NEC. Fairleigh Dickinson returns to action at Robert Morris on Sunday, September 16th for a 12pm match.
