Nicole Hart

Debuting on the Blues, R&B and Jazz scene in 2008, Nicole Hart made an impressive beginning, completing three highly successful national tours.

She was the featured female performer of “Springing the Blues”, one of Downbeat Magazine’s “Top 50 Blues Fests in the World”; the featured female headline act of Laconia’s Big Three Motorcycle Week, as well as performing many other prominent festivals throughout the year, such as the Red Bank Jazz & Blues Fest. Her independent CD release, “NICOLE HART & THE NRG BAND LIVE” received initial airplay worldwide on hundreds of radio stations & continues to receive airplay today. She came to the attention of Executive Producer, Joseph Morabia, and just completed mastering her first national studio release for Blues Leaf Records (Albert Castiglia, Janiva Magness) featuring a duet with 2008 BMA Nominee & label mate, Albert Castiglia. Produced by Grammy award winner, Jack Kriesberg (Paco D’Riviera, Elvin Jones), and mixed and mastered by Grammy award winning engineer, Ben Elliott (Eric Clapton, Keith Richards), the disc, “TREASURE” is scheduled for North American release spring of 2009.

NICOLE HART stands at the crossroads of many musical boundaries, undefined by genre. “I am an artist influenced by all great music,” says Hart. “Our music is inspired by many of the greatest artists of our time, and I aspire to create a feeling & a depth of integrity representing those influences, while also conveying a viewpoint toward the world all my own."

Straddling the diverse musical terrain as defined by such icons as Susan Tedeschi, Janiva Magness, Sheryl Crow, & Bonnie Raitt, Ms. Hart’s impressive resume includes work with a variety of music greats such as Billy Joel, Michael Bolton, Oscar-winning filmmaker Jonathan Demme, Richard Bona, Drew Zingg, Harry Belafonte, Chuck Berry, & Bo Diddley; she has opened for Bernard Allison, Odetta, E.C. Scott & Richie Havens, & has the distinction of being the first-ever Caucasian singer for the R&B super group, The Shirelles.

Musical Director, Arranger and Keyboardist, Lance Ong was part of a team that produced, wrote and arranged over 700 songs and whose credits include a Grammy Award-winning record by Andre Crouch, a first round Emmy nomination for CBS Sports, and recordings with David Sanborn, The
Pointer Sisters, Grand Funk Railroad, Michael Murphy, Frankie Beverly and Maze, Anne Murray, Johnny Halliday and Sylvie Vartan, Trini Lopez, Erykah Badu & many others. His masterful command of the keyboards is undisputed, and as arranger and co-writer of material for Nicole Hart’s Blues Leaf debut, ‘TREASURE”, his piano & organ work is at its finest yet.

Todd Wolfe

Todd began playing on the New York scene back in 1979 with his band, Troy & the Tornados performing in rooms such as the Lone Star Cafe, The Ritz, My Father's Place, Lamour's, The Chance, Tramps, Rodeo Bar and probably any hole in the wall in the NYC area that would book the Tornados.

Todd or 'Troy' and company opened for a bevy of acts such as, Johnny Winter, Robin Trower, The Neville Bros., Son Seals, Dickey Betts, Omar & the Howlers, Gregg Allman, The Outlaws, Smithereens, Zebra, and his first opener back in 1980 , Albert Collins!

Todd decided to head west in 1990 to write and record a demo with a then unknown backup singer named Sheryl Crow. After having that demo passed on by some major labels and not generating much interest after one show case performance, Todd decided to stay in Los Angeles to record and tour with former Textone, Carla Olson. Todd continued to record and perform with Carla and gig with his own blues trio and kept busy scoring soundtracks for the Playboy Channel. Sheryl in the meantime, had finished her first album, 'Tuesday Night Music Club' and needed a guitarist for her touring band which she put together in June of 1993 so, Todd came on board and remained until February of 1998 and in that time Crow and her band featuring Wolfe, romped around the world several times having toured with the Rolling Stones, the Eagles, Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Page & Plant among others.

In 1996, Todd relocated back to the NYC area and with Eric Massimino, Mike Lawrence and Crow band mate Scott Bryan founded A & M Record's MOJOSON, a modern blend of psychedelic Rock and Blues. Since the Universal takeover of the Polygram group left new A & M acts like Mojoson in limbo, Todd elected to leave the label and dissolve Mojoson, putting his energies into Wolfe, which was born during the downtime from Sheryl Crow tours. They are an edgy, adventurous, boundary pushing quartet who mix original material with Howlin' Wolf and Robert Johnson chestnuts. Wolfe consist of Eric Massimino on bass, Dave Hollingsworth on drums and John Cree on percussion. Between touring and recording commitments, Wolfe continues to play dates from coast to coast and across the Atlantic. They have shared the bill with the likes of The Allman Brothers, Black Crowes, Blues Traveler, Dickey Betts, Peter Frampton, Sonny Landreth, Mountain, Johnny Winter, Wishbone Ash, and John Mayall's Bluesbreakers to name a few. Wolfe with his former lineup, The Todd Wolfe Blues Project, who had hosted the renowned blues jam at New York's premier blues club, Manny's Carwash for several years, recorded their well received, "Live from Manny's Carwash" CD. The following year Wolfe recorded their self titled studio debut which was released in Europe by Ulftone Music and in the USA by OkraTone Records to critical acclaim! One of the tracks off of this album, 'Light Of Day' was covered the following year by Deborah Coleman.

Todd's favorite color is merlot, enjoys nude mule rides and his favorite food is banana teriyake pizza.
