Dave Gross is host of “On the Sunny Side”; heard Friday’s at 12 noon. He
plays a full range of acoustic music, anchored deep in traditional bluegrass. Bill Monroe,
Doc Watson, Tony Rice, Vassar Clemens, and The Delmore Brothers are just a few of his
favorites. Although this show is new, Dave was part of WFDU’s MusicAmerica at its
inception, hosting his Saturday morning bluegrass shows for more that a decade.
A mandolin player, Dave is a member of Blue Plate Special, a band that reflects his eclectic
approach to acoustic music, playing bluegrass, Cajun, swing and more.
