Gospel Jazzations is a radio program that specializes in the instrumental side of gospel music. It is the only program in the NYC metropolitan area that plays over 4 hours of inspirational jazz. You will hear music from the pioneers of gospel jazz like, Allen & Allen, Ben Tankard and musicians who have backed every major gospel artist and/or choir like, Ron Brown, Donald Hayes, Jonathan DuBose Jr, Ralph Lofton, Angella Christie, Wayman Tisdale and Kirk Whalum to name a few. There are up and coming artists like Merlon Devine, Bryant Wilder, Syreeta Thomson and others who are taking this genre to the next level. Gospel Jazzations will enlighten you and uplift your spirits. From time to time you will hear interviews from some of these fabulous musicians. Gospel Jazzations is hosted by American Gospel Music Award winner Tony Smith. Tony has nearly 30 years of experience playing the saxophone and has released projects of his own.
