I've always had a love for music since an early age. I used to make
up hip hop dances and sing along with my favorite songs. As I was
growing up, my family and I had moved around a lot to different
types of neighborhoods throughout New Jersey which exposed me to all
types of people from different backgrounds, cultures and
lifestyles. I made friends with people from various nationalities
and was introduced to an assortment of musical genres.
There was a time in my past that I was going down the wrong path in
life and getting myself into trouble which eventually led to me
getting kicked out of high school. I didn't have a real sense of
purpose until I began to seek the meaning of life and seek God,
that's when things took a turn for the better.
When I began to speak to God and accepted Jesus
Christ in my heart, I felt a new sense of direction and purpose in
life. I had become a changed person and decided to go back to
school. I went on to graduate from The Chubb Institute with a 3.5
GPA in Multimedia Design.
My love for music never died, and with this new
found hope in me I felt a calling to begin to write music, produce
beats, rap and sing. I began to distribute free CDs of music that
my friends and I were making. Many people expressed the way the
music had affected them positively because of
the messages pertaining to God that they were hearing. That
encouraged me to continue making music for people and be
enlightened. I made a webpage on MySpace,
www.myspace.com/divinedance ,
to allow people to download my music for free. I was contacted by
other artists and promoters and was asked to do live shows and
concerts.
During one live performance I met DJ Floyd Cray
from Gospel Vibrations. About two years later he contacted me
asking me if I would like to be a DJ at WFDU and I gladly accepted.
My show is named Spirit Blaze Radio and you
can listen every Wednesday night / Thursday morning 1:15am to 6am
here on 89.1FM.
Currently I am working on a full length
professional CD and also studying to become a Personal Trainer. For
the last 5 years I have been also blessed to attend The Church of
Grace and Peace in Toms River, NJ under the leadership of Pastor
Walter Healy.
