Produced by the VA New York/New Jersey Health Care Network, the 30–minute doses of informative, entertaining conversation air Sundays on WFDU 89.1FM. Each week, VA Healthcare Advantage Radio Show Host John Mazzulla interviews a different VA health care expert, often including patients relating their own experiences.
The mission for VA Healthcare Advantage Radio is to increase awareness of the VA health care programs, services and benefits for Veterans, their families, and residents of the community. “The show is all about helping Veterans and their families understand the VA health care services available to them in order to make informed health-related decisions and to promote good health and ensure longer, healthier lives”, said VA Network Director Michael Sabo.
