Only one introductory course in a discipline may be used to fulfill the
requirement. The introductory courses are:

*ART 1205 Development of Art II
**ENGL 2001 Literary Perspectives
HIST 1201 Ancient Civilization
HIST 1202 Medieval Europe
HIST 1203 Foundations of the Modern World
HIST 1204 Modern World: 1776 to the Present
*MUSIC 2201 Survey of Music History
*MUSIC 3301 Dev. of Am. Jazz and Popular Music
PHIL 1102 Introduction to Philosophy
PHIL 1113 Introduction to Philosophy
PHIL 1101 Introduction to Logic
*THEA 1201 Development of Theater I
*THEA 1202 Development of Theater II
*THEA 3330 History of Film
*The follow-up course in fine arts must be a discussion/lecture course.
** The follow-up course in literature must be an English/American literature
course or a literature in translation (IZ) course.
After taking one of these introductory courses, you may follow up with any
non-introductory course in the same discipline, or you may take an introductory
course in another discipline.
