Exams and Tests
Times for exams and tests are shown on the schedule. The exams and tests
are course requirements, but should sickness, accident, or other major disaster
prevent a student from taking an exam, that student must call the instructor
before the exam in order to be considered for a make-up.
All exams in this course are cumulative, at least to some extent. That means
that at the time of the final exam, you are responsible for all the material
in the course.
Academic dishonesty (otherwise known as cheating) is prohibited by university
regulation. The professor trusts that all students will realize that such
conduct is in no way excusable, but is both self-deception and a transgression
against fellow students. The consequences of actual or suspected cheating
are most unpleasant. Problems can be avoided simply by paying attention
exclusively to one's own test paper, and refraining from looking about or
talking during a test. Cheating will result in expulsion from the course
with a grade of F with no opportunity to retake the course.
