Faculty &
Professional Submissions
Lexicon publishes
work by faculty and legal practitioners (legal professionals who are
not
in academia) who would like to communicate with an undergraduate or
general
audience. Scholars and practitioners may wish to publish to have
their work read by an especially inquisitive and intellectually hungry
group of undergraduates. Many of the selections in Lexicon
will be also be suitable (and especially designed) for undergraduate
classes
with themes related to law and crime.
We do not review work that
has been previously published elsewhere, unless granted prior
permission from the editors. All
work
submitted to Lexicon must be original, that is, the product of the
author's.
All authors
published in Lexicon
will have the opportunity to engage in an ongoing conversation about
their
contribution with the journal’s readers through an electronic forum.
Submission Process
Please submit
your work electronically. Our review process for faculty and
professionals is "blind" and conducted by peers with suitable training
- and not by students. We are also very interested in work
co-authored
with students.
The
journal’s editors will
also, on occasion, invite contributions from particular student,
faculty,
and professional authors.
All Lexicon
authors
retain the copyright to their work; we do require authors to
acknowledge Lexicon
in future publications based on their work.
Faculty are
also invited
to nominate or submit student work for
publication.
