McCloskey of Centurion Ministries. March 10, 2001.
Roundtable on Law School
and Legal Careers. Coordinated a presentation and question and answer
session on applying to and thriving in law school, as well as legal careers.
The roundtable featured: Paul Briganti (FDU Class of 1999, law student
at Villanova Law School, Villanova, Pennsylvania); Claudia Condruz (FDU

An Introduction to the
Morris County Criminal Justice System. Organized a meeting for
students at the Morris County Courthouse, including presentations by Morris
County prosecutors and public defenders. Nov. 12, 2001.
The Probation Process.
Presentation by Probation Officer Debbie Elorette, Assistant Chief for
Adult Supervision, discussing the work of the Probation Office, which
assists with social rehabilitation of individuals receiving a suspended
or indeterminate sentence. December 3, 2001.
The Office of Legislative
Services. OLS employees Dave Sallach and James Adolf discussed
legal training, the state lawmaking process, professional opportunities
in law and politics, and the work of this research and administrative support
arm of the state legislature. The OLS provides professional, nonpartisan
staff support services to the NJ Legislature. February 25, 2002.
Tour of the Morris County
Jail. Students toured the Morris County correctional facility,
providing an overview of its organization, procedures, and functions.

Deputy Marshal Lisette Sanchez discussed job opportunities, training, and
the work of federal Marshals in U.S. law enforcement. April 8, 2002.
United States v. Manuel
Noriega: Never Before, Never Again. Mr. Myles Malman '67 spoke
about his experiences as a Chief Assistant US Attorney in Florida's Southern
District and his work as part of the legal team which prosecuted former
Panama president Manuel Noriega. April 11, 2002.
When Law Goes Pop.
Lecture/discussion co-sponsored by the Morris County Bar Association.
Professor Richard Sherwin, New York Law School, discussed and signed copies
of his book, which explores the interaction of popular culture on the law.

County Bar Association. Professor Milt Heumann, Rutgers University
(Chair, Political Science) will discuss the Court's role in our democracy
